The 2011 Championship was the 12th of November 2011. It started at
0515 at Hot Spots bait and Tackle in Gulf Breeze with check in for the
teams willing enough to brave the cold. We launched at Shoreline Park
in Gulf Breeze at 0600 and the morning temps were a little less than
perfect. With an ever present ECRC wind (10 to 15 knots) from the SSE
teams bundled up and blasted off. Some teams found fish early and
some found them late in the day, but all teams had a fun day as by what
was said at the weigh in. Some nice slot fish were caught and some big
bulls as well. It was a nice end to a good season. The results are as
follows:
1st Place Fred Meyers and Jake Matney (ECRC 2011 Team of the Year)
with 2 fish weighing in at 7.33 and 6.46 for a total of 13.77!
2nd Place Bill Lipscomb and Dalton Taylor with 2 fish 6.49/5.60=12.09
and took home big Trout honors.
3rd Place Capt. Brad "Bubbles" King and Donna Fackrell with 2 fish
6.40/5.29=11.69
4th Place Mike Pattison and Ken Cube with 2 fish 6.37/5.29=
11.47
5th Place Capt. Wade Stepler and Kyle with 1 fish 3.85lbs
